We are a well-established, friendly and experienced family run homecare business. We pride ourselves on our local presence within the community. This is a brand new and exciting role, which we believe could make a real difference to improve the health and wellbeing of vulnerable adults within our community.
Are you committed to improving vulnerable peoples’ lives, supporting them to remain independent and providing them with self-care opportunities. This also includes; supporting healthy lifestyle options, staying active, accessing social opportunities and combating loneliness?
You will achieve this and more through working with the people we support, our care workers, partners in care and the communities we serve and the community groups people access.
Organise in-house and other events and ensure that adequate supplies are purchased for the events whilst still working within the set budget.
Organise outings for our Customers and escort when necessary, ensuring the appropriate staffing levels, transport and venues are taken into consideration.
Encourage Customers to participate in the daily activities.
Assist in completing a profile of each individual Customer’s preferences to different activities and document in care plans.
The ideal candidate:
Someone who has excellent communication and customer service skills and is comfortable talking with a wide range of professionals, members of the community and public by face to face and via telephone.
Networking, building and maintaining relationships with our partners in care is key to this role. As is your attendance at relevant events, forums and meetings to broaden your experience of the needs of the community, your own experience and to develop key contacts.
Organisational and planning abilities at a very high level is key for arranging events, fundraising and passing on referrals. You must be able to organise your own time, multi task, and be confident and friendly in communicating with all stakeholders.
